Board Games were actually the driving force behind The Custom Boxer. I was looking to combine my love of board games with my printing and bindery experience. Initially we were looking to offer board game designers and self-publishers a competitive option for small run "production" quality games made in North America. We would take care of 100% of the manufacturing, but due to some circumstances we have no control over we have had to alter this plan a little.
The goal is to still help designers find competitive ways of manufacturing their games within North America. The difference is that rather than acting as a manufacturer we will be offering consulting and managing services to designers. By working this way we don't need to put traditional markups on things like the die cutting or the printing components of building a game. Consulting Fees will be based on the amount of assistance you need and what aspects you need the most help with.
How it works...
For first time designers getting your idea from prototype to finished game can be a daunting experience. If you aren't familiar with the printing or bindery world it can be a rocky road with a steep learning curve. We are here for you at any stage of the game, whether you are struggling with how to lay files out of what type of files to use or you are ready to roll but don't know what to do next we can guide you step by step through the process and be as involved as you like. Based on what kind and type of assistance you need we can discuss compensation for the services that will be provided.
